Internet of Things (IoT)

What is the Internet of Things (IoT)?

The Internet of Things is based on the connectivity of millions of objects to each other that allow us to make the most of every aspect of our lives. These are physical objects with integrated sensors in order to connect and exchange data with other devices and automate tasks so that you can spend your time on what you really like.

THE IOT PATH
The IoT path takes you on a journey of Digital Transformation whether it is personal or industrial, commercial or social, private or public one. As a Telco, we learn on a daily basis from our customers that changes become easier with the right company by your side, and so, we commit to them throughout their entire journey of transformation. The steps are:

1. Collect: The IoT route starts by installing sensors and devices in all kinds of objects, machines or places to capture, measure and transfer data about their environment and interaction with said objects.

2. Connect: Next, we take all this Data to where it can be processed and we connect the devices to the platforms in the cloud. Connectivity is not just human based anymore, so we are deploying new networks specifically designed for IoT, e.g. NB-IoT, and LTE.

3. Process: Once in the cloud, data is identified, classified, processed and converted into useful and clear information. This is where the most popular IoT services can be carried out, which our customers can manage at anytime from anywhere.

4. Analyse: The final stage is a multiple data analysis that provides our clients with the information they need to thoroughly interpret their physical environment, and to detect with certainty patterns in people's behaviour and perceptions.

From here, a new world of possibilities opens and this is when the transformation takes place, emerging possible new business models, processes and a more efficient use of resources. Data-based options now enable safer and faster decisions to be made than ever before.

And that's just the beginning. It's a continuous cycle of improvement, as each new decision enables connected objects to provide increasingly accurate data. As we always say, IoT is more than a solution, it's an evolution.
